The IDJ Board of Directors has traditionally determined which requests
from the community receive
funding based on how many children are served, the creativity of
the project, and how well the project meets the general goals of
In Dulci Jubilo. These goals include (but are not
limited to) the development in children of positive values in the
areas of ecology, aesthetics, ethics, hygiene & general
education with the aim of enhancing each child's feeling of self
worth as well as furthering an recognition of worth in others, and
an appreciation of our area's natural and cultural environment.
In Dulci Jubilo is currently requesting proposals for
grants that focus on school-wide and/or community projects with a
particular emphasis on Berkeley's low-achieving student
communities. Funded projects will address the achievement
gap using research-based solutions, as well as innovative ideas
designed by your community. The deadline for proposals will be
February 28th, 2008. Please contact the IDJ office at 510-845-3499
for more information.
