In Dulci Jubilo, Inc. is a non-profit foundation that was established in 1978 by one man with a vision. That man was Ted Rosenkranz, who graduated from Berkeley High School in 1939 and spent much of his life in the merchant marine. Ted wanted to do something to make his life more meaningful, so he established In Dulci Jubilo, Inc. to enhance the quality of life in his community by encouraging, inspiring, instructing and helping young people enrolled in Berkeley's pre-school, elementary and secondary schools to develop values beneficial to the community.
Ted created In Dulci Jubilo, Inc. with the intent to encourage discussion, development and adoption of values in the areas of ecology, ethics, aesthetics, hygiene & general education with the aim of enhancing each child's feeling of self worth, an appreciation & recognition of worth in others, and in the environment in which we live. Prior to his death in November of 2001, Ted created an endowment fund for In Dulci Jubilo, Inc. so that administrative expenses for the organization are covered – 100% of all donations go directly to In Dulci Jubilo, Inc. funded projects. Financial contributions are tax-deductible, and sponsorships start at $35.
